About Sanga Sanga Retreat Centre
Until recently, the Institute, having no buildings of its own, was renting space in colleges and other institutions in order to run the seminars. However, a 13 acre site just west of Morogoro is being developed as the home of the Institute and a resource for many years to come.
The plan is to construct a residential conference facility to accommodate 100 people with office space, seminar rooms, library facilities, estate office and a demonstration farm. The centre will provide a strategic platform to encourage, mobilise and inspire the pastors in order to benefit their communities with the agricultural, enterprise, pastoral and life skills they have learnt at Sanga Sanga.
Located along the main Trans African highwayfrom Johannesburg to Cairo, we will also provide cafe and rest facilities for overland travellers and academic retreats for local university departments. This will in turn provide income for the Institute as well as local employment.
The centre will also provide a demonstration of God's love to the local community of Sanga Sanga, evidenced through various community development projects.
AIM mission partner, Matt Dixon, is the Construction Manager and assists in the development of the Institute’s plans, including the construction of a conference hall, seminar room and library facilities, 100 bed accommodation, workshop, demonstration farm and gift and coffee shop.
