Courses at Sanga Sanga

This year we have been able to offer various educational and vocational courses at Sanga Sanga.  One of them was a cookery course aimed at Tanzanians working in wazungu or ex-pat households.  Morogoro has a large contingent of non-Tanzanian families—mission workers, NGO and business employees and teachers in the local International School. Oak Hall comes to Sanga Sanga!

New campsite shower block

In June we welcomed a small team from Corsham Baptist Church (CBC) in the UK to help build a shower block on the campsite at Sanga Sanga Retreat Centre.  These additional facilities are needed to cater for the large groups that come to use the centre.Stuart Little, one of the CBC team, shares his thoughts on the trip:“The CBC team had ...

New banda on the campsite

The new banda on the campsite is now finished and will undoubtedly be well-used by campers and groups alike, for meetings, workshops and dining.  The thatch is a work of art and was done by our new friend Pastor Evani from Iringa.

Conference centre officially open!

On Tuesday 15th November Sanga Sanga conference centre was officially opened! It was wonderful to see the centre full with almost 100 pastors and their wives all joining together in a joyful service of thanksgiving. Bishop Charles Salalah was there to cut the official yellow ribbon and unveil a commemoration plaque, signifying the opening of the centre which will continue ...

Roof well and truly on !

15/11/2016 The Foundation Stone is unveiled and the building will be used for the first time. It is as yet unfinished and will continue being a work in progress over the coming months : Brickwork, floors, electrics, plumbing, windows, stairwell. partitions etc etc.
